There are 250 people who admire Nicklas Bendtner!

What a romantic, our Dany Boy is!

Yes! Nicklas Bendtner is actually following club's 'Be a Gooner. Be a Giver.' cancer campaign. The young Dane has changed his jersey numer 26 to 52. And, he is reimbursing the gooners for the cost of the jersey , who showed faith in him by buying his replica shirt adorned with number 26 on the back. I am pretty much confident that those are not dying gooners whose last wish was to buy his jersey.

Bendtner is reportedly facing a £10,000 bill from Arsenal for his generosity. The average price of home replica shirt is £40. So, there are around 250 people (10,000/40) who actually bought original bendtner's jersey. I mean 250 people !!

For those who admire him...Where are you guys? ..errr..Hello? anyone? Come on.. you bought his jersey!

For those who hate him, i had told you! Stop moaning about him. You just lost a jersey.

Anyways, does doubling up the number (26X2=52) mean he is hoping to score 30 goals this season (15, overall last season)? Good, if he thinks like that. Awesome, if he will come any near to that figure.

But i like one thing about him. He keeps his head down and works for the team. He may not be a glamorous striker, but he wasn't bad last seaon. And he can perform much better. Lets all (gooners) hope and dream!

"Bendtnerrrrrrrrrr and he is the top goal scorer of BPL 20010-11!"

Amen
!

P.S. Anyone knows of any example of footballer with such a high jersey number. No one comes to my mind.

Yeah even I was wondering how come doubling his jersey number would start to prove him lucky. Those who don't believe in themselves start looking up at the sky :).

Bendtner..Err.. you said he keeps his head down and works for the team, true, but isn't he the one who said he is Arsenal's best striker.

He is a good option though, strong in the air and works hard but still he wears pink boots !!!

yeah i remember his pink boots. I take it as a sign of his self-assurance :) He believes in himself. He keeps his head down on the pitch. Everyone hated him, but he played on last season to score 15 goals (many as sub)

Just for the record, Ribery also has pink boots and ManUnited is interested. Any thoughts on that?

High jersey number? Take 99. None other than the real Ronaldo at Milan.

@ Ribery

Haha.. Am quite sure he is going to end up at Real next season. 87 million for someone who seems to have hit his peak and has a had a couple of good years in Europe is insane. He has never come in the top three of the world as well. He is 27, would give a max of 3 years at his peak.I wont be welcoming him with open arms, I think no one would. He would have to prove himself again.

Don't get me wrong, he is a wonderful player and in the top 5 of the world, but for so much money I think 3 players could be bought where the sum of their parts could be greater than Ribery's.

The comments would have been completely contrary had Manu would have got him though.

The fact that he doesn't want to come to United doesn't make him a bad player though.

I think has 5 good years of top level football infront of him \.

If you remember the likes of zidane and nedved played at top level until 34.

Totti and Del piero are continuing to play at top level.

I don't need to mention any chelsea players
